Roles and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a talented and energetic candidate to join our team working in our KPMG IMPACT team in the Cayman Islands.
As part of our KPMG IMPACT team you will work on leading market propositions like:
- ESG materiality assessments - helping clients understand what megatrends affect their business and how to proactively address those issues in order to maintain business competitiveness.
- ESG strategy development - Develop insight in how clients can integrate ESG into their existing strategy in order to build and maintain their competitive advantage and enterprise value over the long term
- Sustainable Finance - Providing clients with advice on sustainable finance best practices including the integration of ESG considerations into investment processes, banking, insurance, and other financial services
- ESG reporting advisory - Quantification of ESG impacts such as GHG emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3), waste, water, community investment, sustainable supply chains, health and safety (H&S), diversity and other non-financial metrics.
- ESG assurance - Conducting sustainability assurance procedures of client's non-financial information reported in public disclosures using ISAE 3000 and ISAE 3410 accounting standards.
For this Supervisor role we are seeking candidates that have the base skills and interest to work across our propositions and sectors. The role will involve:- Work as part of a team to address complex market, strategic, operational and organizational issues across environmental & social aspects.
- Have knowledge of / experience in emerging frameworks (like the ISSB, TCFD, SASB, GRI, CDP) as well as various ESG rating methodologies.
- Plan and undertake primary and secondary research to develop insightful analysis for clients.
- Create and execute on a list of priority clients and key sustainability challenges that you believe KPMG can support them in addressing
- Develop business cases and business plans underpinned by robust analysis in support of strategic sustainability initiatives.
- Develop unique opinions and point of view on sustainability mega trends and how they impact clients and sectors.
- Manage engagement work-streams and analysis, taking responsibility for developing key client proposition documents.
- Contribute to the delivery and presentation of client deliverables.
- Work collaboratively with client staff and management, in the development and delivery of recommendations.
- Operate in a connected consulting way and support propositions and engagements across KPMG service areas.
- Drive business development activity, showing initiative in building relationships with clients outside of engagements and utilizing your own network for client opportunities and contemporary knowledge.
- Contribute and deliver thought leadership and knowledge management to support practice development.
- Partake and deliver sustainability focused training events to upskill our wider consulting teams
The Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of work experience and have an undergraduate degree in sustainability, business, environmental studies, or another related program
- Strong academic performance with demonstrated quantitative skills
- 2-3 years of experience in sustainability, consulting, or other related field
- ESG or impact experience with family offices, multilateral organizations or charitable organizations is a plus
- Ability to combine both quantitative and qualitative analysis to solve sustainability-related business problems
- Attention to detail and commitment to deliver high-quality work
- Demonstrated record of leadership roles in academic and/or extracurricular activities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver commitments on time
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
