Director, Audit

A Director is subject to the highest demands with regard to the quality of service in all areas of his/her professional work. The position of Director and the responsibilities assigned to you for the future development of the Employer require that you always act in the best interest of the Employer. A Director is obliged to comply with internal quality procedures, including the obligation to consult with the Employer.
As a leading position within the firm the Director will assist the Employer in fulfilling audit functions that require a high level of understanding and judgment including but not limited to: directing client and engagement acceptance, engagement planning, oversight, review and sign-off, pre-issuance reviews on audited financial statements, providing clients or prospective clients with advice. In addition the Director will play a key role in the organization and management of the audit department and such other responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.
Applicants must hold a recognized professional accounting designation (e.g. CPA, CA, ACCA, etc.) with at least eight years of relevant – and recent - external audit experience with at least 2 of those years at the Director level or equivalent. The successful applicant will need to have either a strong asset management background with hedge funds and private equity exposure being critical or strong insurance background with life and annuity exposure being key. It is essential that the ideal candidate is currently working in a similar and current role/capacity. This role requires a highly motivated individual with strong management and communication skills, an attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
