Manager, Accounting Advisory Services
KPMG Accounting Advisory professionals offer financial statement preparation solutions to our clients by combining our industry expertise and experience with automated technology solutions to provide a high-quality deliverable in an efficient and streamlined manner. Requirements:
Applicants must hold a recognized professional accounting designation (e.g. CPA, CA, ACCA etc.) with at least four years of relevant experience, preferably with a “Big 4” accounting firm and/or fund administrator. This position requires experience in the financial services industry, an extensive knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, and strong technical knowledge of financial instruments, including derivatives. The candidate must be highly motivated, detail oriented, with strong project management and communication skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines. The candidate will need to be able to work a flexible schedule as overtime is required during ‘busy’ season (January – June). Advanced Excel skills (e.g. PowerQuery) and fund accounting experience would be advantageous.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a member of our management team, the successful candidate will manage a portfolio of financial statement preparation clients including, but not limited to, hedge funds, private equity funds, special purpose vehicles, and high net worth individuals. The successful candidate will report directly to the Directors and Partners.
This role will also involve the supervision of and training and monitoring of new staff and developing client relationships. Training will be given in any aspects with which you are not familiar. Directors and Partners may assign other duties from time to time.
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS;
• Managing multiple projects;
• Researching accounting and regulatory issues;
• Managing a large and complex client portfolio;
• Playing an active role in the management and supervision of the personnel within the accounting advisory practice;
• Developing client proposals, presentations & other client related documents;
• Providing training and coaching to staff.
